CRITERIA CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION OF RECEIPIENTS
OF TSUNAMI HOUSES OF PROJECT PHOENIX
• Inclusion in the government list as a house completely destroyed by the Tsunami.
• Ownership of destroyed house, ownership of suitable land or land provided by the government.
• Loss or incapacitation of bread winner(s) as a result of the Tsunami.
• Loss of family members resident in destroyed house at the time of Tsunami.
• Number of family members, school going children and infants.
• Loss of source of income.
• Assistance received from other non-government sources.
• Equitable distribution of houses in affected districts along the south and southwestern coasts where necessary.
• Consider specific requests from donors.
• Assistance in labour or otherywise from recipient.
(At least 3 members of the Board of Phoenix will visit the site and verify the information provided in the duly filled application provided by the Project, before selection of recipients of Project Phoenix houses) |
